30 AUG 1970- Cedar Rapids, Iowa. F-4J BN153085, Blue Angel #4. With one engine stuck in afterburner the pilot, Lt. Ernie Christensen did a wheels up landing. He had forgot to put his landing gear down. As the aircraft departed the runway, Christensen successfully ejected and was unharmed. The aircraft came to rest in a corn field about a mile from the end of runway.
